Farewell, Summer...Welcome, Autumn!

On this final day of summer 2015, I'm going to share with you all the rest of my summer outfit photos. Don't worry, there aren't a lot - only three. Each of these outfits made me pretty happy, though, so I didn't want to let them slip into the past without acknowledgement. I've condensed the outfit details, mainly because I don't feel like poking through my closet to note brand names. Hmm...I might just keep doing outfit details this way. Brand names don't really matter to me, anyway. It's far more informative to know where a piece was purchased.

Worn on a Sunday in August:

Outfit details: top & skirt ~ JC Penney's
sandals ~ Vanderbuilt's

earrings ~ Seattle Goodwill
bracelets ~ yard sale finds

This is what I wore the last Sunday of August:

Outfit details:  olive sweater ~ suddenly materialized in my dresser
lace peplum tank ~ JC Penney's
skirt ~ Goodwill
shoes ~ Goodwill
necklace ~ Target

I love how the mornings are cool and foggy in late August! Brings back memories of the kids getting on the bus, ready to start a new school year. Now I watch my neighbor's kids get on the bus on foggy mornings.

And this was my outfit the Sunday of Labor Day weekend:  (Cuteness alert! Kitten photobomb!)

Outfit details:  cotton top & skirt ~ JC Penney's
belt ~ thrifted
sandals ~ Trade Home Shoes
sunglasses ~ ???

 earrings ~ JC Penney's
necklaces, short to long ~ yard sale, self-constructed, MIL's collection

bracelet ~ yard sale

As you may have noticed, I did some shopping at JC Penney's over the summer. They released some of those fabulous $10 off a $10 purchase coupons, and I scoped out the clearance racks. I loved "Weekend" collection, with its gauzy white cotton and cool blue. I bought a white cotton above-the-knee casual skirt, too, and a striped tee for an everyday outfit with a nautical look.

Tomorrow is the first day of autumn...my favorite season! Now if the weather would just glance at the calendar and get with the program...

I love all these outfits, my favorite being the middle one. I love the colors together and the style of top and skirt flatter you. And all of the outfits look comfortable. I got a coupon in the mail for JC Penny's, I think it's only $10 off a $25 purchase, but it's still a good one. I usually go and find clothes for the girls, but they don't really need anything right now, so maybe I'll browse the clearance racks for myself this time.
